I attended in 1964- 1968. I wonder if any of my former teachers are alive.. This was an all white school when I went there. My 5th grade teacher, Mr Collins talked all the time of how bad things were in the segregated south.. But there were not black ppl in Livonia at the time.. Rather hypocritical. Blacks were forced to live in inner city Detroit.. I can remember the riots of 67.. I was taken abruptly to Florida in June of 68 after the 5th grade an shortly after the Bobby Kennedy assassination. Florida I went to a racially mixed school and had black classmates for the first time in my life..I experienced the desegregation of the south. It was a hard and painful experience, but one I am glad I went through..
